Lacy Davisson earned her MA from the NYU Institute of Fine Arts and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. She has over 25 years of experience in the art business in New York, Paris and Milan.
She was formerly an art advisor at the Museum of Modern Art’s Art Advisory Service, European Promotion Director at Artforum International Magazine in Paris and Milan, Assistant Director at Barbara Toll Fine Arts, New York, and Consultant to the National Endowment for the Arts.
As an Art Advisor at the Museum of Modern Art, Ms. Davisson developed art collections and programs for: General Electric Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, CIGNA, Fisher Brothers, Charles H. Shaw Co, American Electric Power, and Dancer, Fitzgerald, Sample subsequently Saatchi & Saatchi.
She has served on committees for: the National Academy of Design & School of Fine Arts, the New Museum, the Bronx Museum, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
She has lectured on modern and contemporary art for: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, Christie’s International Auction House, the Colony Club, the Cosmopolitan Club, the Society of The Four Arts, Palm Beach, New York University’s Graduate Visual Arts Administration Program, and the New York Academy of Art.
